Three layers, not one list
- Monthly: the five recurring vrats. One standing box a month handles all of them.
- Dated: the festivals. Six or seven boxes a year, each timed to a tithi you look up once.
- Once: the sanskars. A griha pravesh or a namkaran cannot be planned in advance, and should not be — order it when the muhurat is fixed.
Where the money actually goes
For a household keeping the monthly vrats and the main festivals, the year is dominated by two or three large boxes — Diwali, Navratri and Chhath if you keep it — and a long tail of small ones.
The large ones are worth ordering early. The small ones are cheap enough that timing matters more than price.
The ten-day rule
Every dated rite should be ordered at least ten days ahead. In the fortnight before Diwali every courier in India slows down, and that is the single most common reason a kit arrives late.
If you plan the year once in Chaitra, the ten-day rule takes care of itself.
Questions
We do not sell a bundled year up front. We would rather you ordered the monthly box on a standing order and the festivals ten days before each — the same outcome without paying for a year of samagri in advance.
