How we count every item

Every kit page states an item count — 34 for griha pravesh, 41 for Chhath, 16 for Pitru Paksha. Those numbers are not rounded, and they are not a marketing device. They are the length of the packing list.

This page explains where the number comes from, because a count is only worth printing if it can be checked.

The list comes from the vidhi, not the warehouse

A kit's contents are drawn from the verified vidhi for that rite, not from what happens to be in stock. If the sequence calls for nine navgraha samidha, the kit carries nine packets, not one bag labelled navgraha.

That is why the Griha Pravesh kit is 34 items and not a rounder number. Rounding it would mean either adding something the rite does not ask for, or dropping something it does.

Packed against the list, checked at intake

Each box is packed against its printed checklist by one person and inspected by another before it is sealed. The same checklist ships inside, so the check we ran is the check you can run.

Tirth line kits are packed at a separate station with their own procedure, and carry no promotional insert of any kind.

Substitution, when it happens

Natural samagri varies by season and harvest. Where an item is genuinely unavailable we substitute an equivalent of the same or better grade, and we write the substitution on the checklist inside the box.

What we do not do is quietly reduce the count and leave the number on the website unchanged.

Questions

Yes — the printed vidhi card and any detachable checklist are counted, because they are things in the box. Each kit page lists the contents in full so you can see exactly what makes up the number.
